IHCDA is proud to manage many different programs offering housing opportunities, promote self-sufficiency, and strengthen Indiana communities. The vast majority of these programs have an effect on enhancing the well being for susceptible populations within our state, such as the elderly and people with disabilities. For the intended purpose of this summary, people with disabilities includes people with real or disabilities that are intellectual along with individuals with psychological infection and addiction. Below is a summary of a number of the key programs and initiatives that provide these target populations.
Rental Housing Tax Credits
The Rental Housing Tax Credit (RHTC) program allocates over $15.5M of federal income tax credits annually to for-profit and non-profit developers when it comes to construction or rehabilitation of affordable housing that is rental.
